one of my favorite artists for the past year has been Mary Blair. She did some AMAZING concept art for Disney's Cinderella, Alice In Wonderland, and Peter Pan. i love her stuff! and i have noticed that my last two paintings are definitely inspired by her...

this was inspired by a show i watched on the discovery channel about the giant squid. it lives so deep in the ocean, there isn't a whole lot that we know about it. I'm not particularly into squid but the movement and the color of this mysterious creature sparked my creativity...
